Employing Workers with Disabilities in Canada

HRM-26.2can

Canadians with disabilities make up 20% of the workforce. Although education and awareness has increased, illegal, discriminatory behavior still occurs. Employees who have completed this course should be able to identify the definition of a disability, statistics on disabilities in Canada, and federally relevant laws, acts, and standards in Canada. They should also be able to identify workplace-relevant standards on topics from Ontario's AODA including information, communication and hiring. If the employee is located in Ontario, Manitoba or Nova Scotia, the course will also cover the basics of the standards specific to each province.
