This course is designed to give employees an overview of HIPAA and its general requirements. Learners who successfully complete this course should be able to identify the purpose, basic terminology, and common actions companies must take to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA. This course is designed for employees who are involved in human resources activities at companies who obtain health insurance through an external insurance provider.
