Mold and Mildew Awareness

Mold is a common allergen that people can be sensitive to. While not everyone reacts to mold exposure in the same way, exposure to mold spores can cause serious respiratory illnesses to particularly sensitive individuals. In buildings that have suffered water damage, mold can also cause buildings to deteriorate and become uninhabitable. This course is designed for employees that are responsible for cleaning or remediating mold-exposed areas in their workplace or as part of their job duties. Employees who successfully complete this course should be able to identify potential effects of mold exposure, procedures for determining mold exposure, procedures for remediating and abating mold exposures, and methods of mold prevention. This course is presented in English and Spanish.
