US Department of Education Grants
The U.S. The Department of Education (DOE) administers around 200 grants for education programs, including Pell Grants. Apply for grants and learn more about Pell Grant eligibility on their website.
Carl D. Perkins Grant
The Carl D. Perkins Act supports career and technical education. The Carl Perkins Grant uses federal funding to help states improve secondary and post-secondary career and technical education programs.
McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation
The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation offers Academic Enrichment Grants for extracurricular programs that encourage ongoing learning. They consider proposals that foster understanding, deepen students’ knowledge, and help them expand their awareness of the world around them. The maximum award is $10,000 per year for up to three years.
Voya Unsung Heroes Awards Program
The Voya Unsung Heroes awards program recognizes innovation and progressive thinking, helping educators fund classroom projects.
Foundation for Rural Services Grants
The Foundation for Rural Service provides annual grants to communities served by National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) members. Their goal: support local efforts to build and sustain a high quality of life in rural America. The maximum award is $5,000.

Florida CAPE Secondary
The Florida Department of Education’s Career and Professional Education (CAPE) program is designed to provide students with opportunities to earn industry certifications and credentials while still in high school. The CAPE program aims to prepare students for both college and career pathways by integrating academic content with practical, hands-on experience in various career fields.
Non-Traditional Funding Options
School fundraisers, partnerships with workforce services, and donations from local businesses may also help teachers and administrators offset BrightShift costs.
