The U.S. The Department of Education (DOE) administers around 200 grants for education programs, including Pell Grants. Apply for grants and learn more about Pell Grant eligibility on their website.

The Carl D. Perkins Act supports career and technical education. The Carl Perkins Grant uses federal funding to help states improve secondary and post-secondary career and technical education programs.

The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation offers Academic Enrichment Grants for extracurricular programs that encourage ongoing learning. They consider proposals that foster understanding, deepen students’ knowledge, and help them expand their awareness of the world around them. The maximum award is $10,000 per year for up to three years.

The Foundation for Rural Service provides annual grants to communities served by National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) members. Their goal: support local efforts to build and sustain a high quality of life in rural America. The maximum award is $5,000.

Non-Traditional Funding Options

School fundraisers, partnerships with workforce services, and donations from local businesses may also help teachers and administrators offset BrightShift costs.
