LTI stands for Learning Tools Interoperability, an education technology standard that allows outside tools to connect securely with a learning management system such as Canvas. BrightShift Canvas LTI integration is coming soon, so schools that use Canvas will be able to access BrightShift from within the learning management system their educators and students already use. This means fewer logins, less setup, and a more connected experience for CTE programs.
What is Single Sign On?
Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to log in once and gain access to multiple systems using a single set of credentials. With SSO integration, students and educators can securely access the BrightShift certification testing platform without needing separate login credentials.
Because student data is already protected within the school’s SSO system, students do not need to re-enter personal information when accessing BrightShift. This helps simplify access to certification exams while maintaining a secure testing environment.
What is Rostering?
Rostering is the process of organizing and managing student and teacher data so accounts and classes are set up automatically. In many schools, Clever or ClassLink rostering allows student accounts and class rosters to sync with BrightShift.
