Backroom Safety – Supermarket

Supermarkets are generally safe places to work, but unfortunately musculoskeletal disorders, falls, cuts, and injuries from accidents involving vehicles and machinery are all too common in grocery settings, particularly in the back room, stock room, or loading and unloading area. This course is designed to give the learner an overview of the hazards common to stocking duties and working in the backroom area of a supermarket. The course also provides techniques for safe lifting and safe stacking and moving of loads. This course is designed for all employees working in the back room or performing stocking duties in a supermarket. This course is presented in English and Spanish.
